Public Child Protection (Wales) vs Welsh Government - Application to postpone RSE curriculum
Re: Welsh Relationship and Education Curriculum for Primary Schools
A parent group, Public Child Protection (Wales) (PCP) has sought a judicial review of aspects of a new relationship and sex education (RSE) curriculum for primary schools, which has been granted for November 2022. This preliminary hearing is seeking to postpone the implementation of the curriculum as well as the reinstating the right of parents to remove children from specific lessons.
The request for an emergency injunction was dismissed by the High Court (Wales). The full judicial review is expected to go ahead on 15 November 2022.
