Sibyl Ruth v Cornerstones Publishing
Writer alleges discrimination on the basis of her gender critical beliefs
Writer and editor, Sybil Ruth, is taking Cornerstone Publishing Ltd to employment tribunal alleging she lost work from the company on the basis of her gender critical views.
Sibyl was working at Cornerstone consultancy as one of their core editors when suddenly she was not given any work from the firm. Sibyl then learned she had been removed from the website and upon querying this, Sibyl alleges she was told Cornerstone would not be using her anymore - with no reason given.
Acting on advice from the Free Speech Union, Sibyl sent a Subject Access Request (SAR) to find out the internal communications about her within the company. The SAR revealed a campaign to remove her and concerns from her colleagues about her social media posts relating to her gender critical views.
Status
A preliminary case hearing was scheduled for 14th September 2023 at Bristol Emplyment Tribunal, however on 8th September 2023, Sibyl Ruth released the following statement on Twitter/X.
